We went to The Ruth Bancroft Garden in July 2010 in part to tour my visiting mom-in-law and also since I love growing cacti and succulents. It was the height of summer then, triple digit heat in place, but it was well worth it! The plants obviously thrived in this kind of weather and the blooming ones were just so wonderful to see. There was an ongoing garden sculpture exhibit too at that time adding more flair to the summer display.
