Absolutely! It looks to have had the hole for a long, long time. The tree seems healthy. I know at some point it will have to succumb but who knows when that will be? Maybe 2 years, maybe 22 years. I can only be thankful that when it finally comes down it is not endangering any buildings. It will only take out part of the field fencing.
