Yes, Lynn, it is fragrant. It has a really nice fragrance, but moderate -- not as strong as the thick and cloying scent of the older roses. It's a hybrid tea, but in the Pernetiana subclass. That's a subclass of roses that began when Joseph Pernet-Ducher crossed Soleil d'Or with Rosa foetida in 1900 and started producing roses of amazing colors. Autumn is a 1928 rose. It's usually available from Vintage Gardens and most of the other own-root rose nurseries.
