Isn't that the most ridiculous thing. In the case of the dump here, I guess it's because people have paid money to put it in the landfill, so they can't really turn around and let people take it. Unfortunately here, the recycle center has turned into a free for all with the 'crackheads' (drug addicts) going and stripping out motors from washing machines etc for the copper wire to sell for their next fix. Yuk. Makes me shudder to think of their lives, or lack there of. It certainly makes it an uncomfortable experience to go in the recycle building with that under way.
