I have to admit I collect (ok, hoard) Fine Gardening. I have almost every issue. Not letting them go, because I really do go back and read them again, especially when winter gets overwhelming. Every 6 weeks I go in for chemotherapy at a rheumatology clinic where almost everyone is old or physically limited. It amazes me that the magazine choices there are either Arthritis Today or Sports Illustrated. When I took my stack of gardening magazines and (expensive) daylily catalogs, people snapped them up! The whole group of patients that day got into the most wonderful discussion about gardening, and I really had a blast talking about the newer daylilies. Really made the time pass in a pleasant way.
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
