Reds are the toughest ones to ID, and they are the hardest to photograph. You need to post a photo when the flower is fully mature. One thing to check is the color of the style and filaments of the reproductive parts. Some cultivars have white, some have pink or red styles and filaments. Also look deep in the throat. I don't know the exact term, but what does it look like. White outline, red outline, or no outline around the base of the reproductive parts, this is also used in IDing the cultivar. Recently, Israel has become a major grower of Amaryllis bulbs. It is always frustrating when you receive a mislabeled bulb. In the past it was the most common complaint of customers. I wish that mail order companies would wise up and do their part to stop this practice.
