Jelinda,
I'll put you on my give a way list for spring. Your plant will look like both at different times and I really wonder if there are any real difference in them. My plants change dramatically from spring to summer to fall when I have to bring them in. Colors change tremendously. It really doesn't matter what cultivar as long as the species is right. If you see a lot of difference then ok. Also I have the variegated heart leaf ivy that carries the same name as my Double Dip. They are completely different. Double Dip is thicker and smaller leafed. Almost like a succulent.
Trying to find the species is the hardest part. If you know it then Dave's Garden is great. But to find the right species, I look at the nurseries that sell the plants with the proper names. I find this the easiest way.
I am no expert here but I will look into your request on ID's .
