To be totally honest, I did part 3 for 2 reasons - the polite reason was as a Christmas gift to ATPers who might happen to read it.
The much more selfish reason is that it's a chance to show off -- I'm actually in the middle of creating a proposal (that should have been finished a month ago, but I got stuck) for a collection of short stories. So every now and again, I toss a non-collected story out into the wind to see how far she'll fly.
