As promised, let's take a look at the Sticky-Picky garden.

Here is a general overview. The small palm in front is a Phoenix sylvestris, sometimes called a wild date palm.

This is Yucca aloifolia, aka Spanish Bayonet.

Here is a slightly smaller version, Yucca gloriosa, which is called the Spanish dagger.

Then there is Dasylirion longissimum, var. Treleasel. It will eventually grow a trunk and the grass will stay atop. These are sometimes called grass palms.
