Hi Lynn,

I just used a small sandwich size bag. As soon as you see it sprout, then plant it into about a 4" pot. As it grows, pot up bigger. I would soak it in water & hydrogen peroxide mix. There is a thread on it in this forum http://cubits.org/Germination/...

It would be interesting to try your banana and probably mailing a seed would be easier than a sedling. Customs would have a hay day with live plant material.
