Your WS is far neater than mine.
I use heavy scissors and do a drainage gash near bottom of jug.
Then cut most of way around so top is still attached.
Then fill with soil, water it, seed it and scrawl date and seed name.
Then I tuck top of jug into bottom securely and place outside.
I also note in my garden journal what I have started.
I have about 30 scattered around the yard so they will get sun when snow melts.
I have a large deep basin from Garden Retreat which I am going to use for the next batch. That will make it easier to water from the bottom.
Added note: The deep basin was a mistake because when the snow melted and/or it rained ----the jugs became water logged.
Have shallow trays for this coming season!
