It should be ok. They love shade and that's what houseplants love. I can't believe it no different than any other houseplant fern. Go for it. If you plant it outside, put it in a pot so you could move it around until you find the right spot for it.
BTW I like you new photo, almost didn't recognize you in it. Looks good.
