Marilyn.....They are roughly 18"H with 14" x 8" opening. I buy the 10 Qt potting soil since lifting is easier and it fills it with a little room to spare.

I used to use the cat litter bins too but they had to be lifted each time or I bend down to use them. These I just open the flap and dip. With the handle it is easy to fill my potting table pan too. I changed the location after space became an issue and they are on a shelf underneath the potting bench....which btw DH made from a free shop table for me!
