Sharon there is a paper mill thirty miles away and they put a 100 year lease on a lot of land in this area ' The road has no development and is a pass through to Abita . When you pass through it will look the same except for the age of trees planted. And of course if they have cut and area. They have always cleaned and replanted quickly and we just notice log trucks when they are working the area. It is what it is. We do need toilet paper and school paper boxes and such. It used to be called the box factory. I am removed from that area and never go there. However when it is going to turn cold we know it a day early because we smell the plant. It smells like boiling cabbage. They had a toxic spill a few months ago that killed thousands and thousands of fish in our river. They recently replaced 55,000 in one release, and there were more releases earlier so the river mostly cleaned itself and things are back to normal. There was a rumor that the mill would be closing soon. People are upset in both directions. Close the Mill and kill the town. It is a catch 22. shirleyt.
