Mona my first seeds were done in a similar method as yours and I also had some that got mold. When I got Sandy's seed they were perfect and after almost a year they still are. I asked how she did hers and this is what she said she did. "When I pick my seeds I put them in coffee filters and put them around the house wherever I find room and know they won't be disturbed. A week or two later I'll stack the filters with seeds and package them up a month or two after that to put in the fridge. I use the ziplock's from the craft dept to store the seeds in the fridge."

This is how I germinate mine, it's simple and I don't remember anymore who first told me about it, but it works really well. Put the number of seeds that you want to germinate in one of those little Ziploc bags along with a small piece of paper towel, I cut a bunch at once to just fit the baggie, moisten with a 10% peroxide, distilled water mixture, leave at room temperature, I check daily after about a week and I usually remove and plant each seed as it germinates. Some seeds can take up to 90 days to germinate so don't give up on them too soon.
