I've never had or saw a butterfly feeder, but if it is plastic the squirrels will chew it up, my stuff has to be
Titanium or steel.
My neighbour has a lot of butterflies that hang around his air conditioner. The large unit puts out a lot of condensation and the dirt near the A/C is muddy. They love to suck water out of the mud. Also they are cold blooded and would like a place to sunbathe if you have a stone you can place in the sun. I had several that warm their selves on my stepping stones out back. I have plenty of plants like Lantana and butterfly bushes, these will definitely do the trick.
