Sounds like Chipmunks can be a menace like Squirrels! I've heard folks say squirrels have gotten into their attic and have eaten through electrical cables causing a lot of damage. A few years ago I moved all of my orchids out to the backyard and hung them in a tree, and lost many of them to the squirrels! I went out to water one day and found bits and pieces of orchids on the ground beneath the tree, tags/labels scattered about and even a couple of orchids totally missing. I said that some mama squirrel wanted to decorate her nest! Last week I hung two Chirita's (African Violet relatives) in a tree off my back deck and happened to walk by the window one day and saw a squirrel munching away ... both plants have nothing left but a little piece of stalk! Grumbling
~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt!
~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot!
