Well, Lorn, I'm on a valley floor here, 16-120°F, placement is key. I grow my tomato plants in 50% shade July-Sept, or else. Lost a few lilies years ago when winters brought heavy rains to marry early ignorance of perfect drainage ie placement again, rotted bulbs.
Rick, I bow down... dude... What a service you are providing. I'm waiting on a shipment of 300 mixed lily bulbs, should be @ 10% species. Your photos and text have given me a lot of things to look at the next chance I get to fondle some bulbs. You are loading these into the database, yes?
