I was given a VA Pine seedling at a home show recently . The folks who gave it to me promised me it looks like a Christmas tree. I just spent some time on Google, and the christmas tree site says VA Pine is commonly used as a Christmas tree. BUT every other link I've followed tells me it winds up looking like these tall, telephone pole pine trees that are so prevalent down here in Georgia.

I don't know who to believe. If it's going to spend its entire life looking like a Christmas tree, I want it in my front yard. If it's going to wind up looking like the pines that I need to have taken out of my yard, I want it in a totally different spot.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks!

I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week.
