I choose to grow more heirlooms than hybrids, as available.

I'm particularly fond of Brandywine tomatoes. I grow a few of them every year, and use them for just about everything.

One of my new favorites is Asparagus/Yard Long Bean. These I can grow up above the reach of rabbits, and I prefer their texture and flavor over other pole type beans.
