I know with daylilies sometimes you can pry their roots apart. One gal said to use a screwdriver lol. I do have a garden knife that would be good to use.

Rose, how many do you grow?
I am putting mine in my plantstep and I am up to 51. That surprized me. If I had more shade it would be much higher! Love the little ones now.
