I have never seen this before and was wondering if anyone else has.

This clump is SPANISH SKETCH and the new fan that grew is variegated and I was wondering if there is some reason this may have happened. It didn't do that at all last season. There hasn't been any daylilies in this bed for awhile so it's not a leftover piece of another daylily.

Shrug!
