I usually don't go to the porch swing or the threads with a lot of replies because usually when I try to type a reply it takes eons for the words to show up on the screen after I type them even though I'm NOT on dial-up.

Tink, try setting the number of posts back to 50, and see if you have the same lag time.

I would not worry about reading all the posts in a long thread before you jump in and post. Jump in anytime. Especially on the Porch Swing thread. We are constantly changing subjects... Not like it is one long story or topic.
