If I wasnt checking and rechecking stuff in files I would go nuts.

There were only two reasons why I bought my first computer:
1) email
2) to keep track of plants

From my prospective, you shouldn't be embarrassed at all, Jo Ann.
You're darn smart! Big Grin

A tip that I might suggest that I have learned through the years:
When a particular plant dies, don't delete it from your spreadsheet. In the excel program, highlight the cells in question, click on format>>cells>>font>>strikethrough. Now your dead plant will have a line going through the data, but you will still be able to read it.

Alternatively, you could make a copy of the spreadsheet, clear all the contents in the copy, rename it "Dead Plants" (or whatever) and transfer the data of your deceases plants there. You will find it very useful to be able to go back to that old information.
