Do you have experience growing this plant?

This will be my second try. (My first attempt might have been doomed from the start since the potted plant arrived very soggy with a bit of black on its leaves to suggest rot had already set in. Shrug! )

The plant I just received looks to be in fine condition so far, any tips on keeping it that way?

I've read that this plant likes a lot of morning sun and perhaps afternoon shade?
