I've been impressed with how well some of my troublesome semps are doing in hypertufa pots compared to terracotta or plastic. The hypertufa is porous enough that water soaks through it quite well or it wicks it away so the roots don't stay wet. Whatever the reason, I'm making more hypertufa this year and moving more semps into it.
