Cliff, as everyone knows, from EuroDesert, shut down last year & sold a massive amount of roses to the public (which Zuzu got the lion's share. LOL
). He also sent a massive amount of roses over to Vintage Roses.
And now Vintage, because they believed they were going to shut down themselves (!) passed on THOSE roses to Heirloom.
Personally speaking, I'm disappointed. I know some people have good luck with Heirloom. I personally have not. But here's the email from Vintage:

EURODESERT ROSES
Where have they all gone?????
Many of you have been asking us at Vintage Gardens where all of the roses we received from EuroDesert Roses have gone to?
In December, Cliff Orent made a decision to find another nursery to take on the remaining stock, concerned that if Vintage Gardens did indeed close in 2013, no one would be left to carry the flag for these beautiful varieties. In early March these EuroDesert roses were transferred to Heirloom Roses in Oregon. We think it is a good fit for Heirloom, and better so than for us, as our nursery has always specialized in old roses more than in modern roses. Cliff very generously provided us with cuttings of many of the Hybrid Musks, Hybrid Perpetuals, Ramblers and Polyanthas that formed the core of his collection. These now have been passed on to The Friends of Vintage Roses to care for and to enhance the collection. A few of these are still available from Vintage Gardens, including many of the Louis Lens Hybrid Musks.
We encourage you to seek out the rare modern hybrids from the EuroDesert stock at Heirloom Roses in Oregon at: www.heirloomroses.com

Sounds to me like a puppy who's not housebroken so gets passed on from home to shelter to home to shelter back to another home with no stability.
