I know we are talking perennial here and this is an annual , but worth showing off .
It reseeds well so might as well be a perennial , and sometimes even winters over if the plant germinated late and has not had time to bloom

note the unique color on the underside

Dwarf red coreopsis

..a balanced life is worth pursuit.
