Size of Plant: The size plants offered through this Co-op are not small plugs. All are raised from seeds and cuttings and are approximately 6 to 9 months old. Only natural additives have been used in the growing process and a holistic organic methodology has been utilized at each step of the process.
Shipping
As much soil as possible will be removed and top-growth retained when possible for shipping. Roots will be wrapped in dampened materials and encased in plastic. The plants will be individually wrapped and labeled with common and botanical names.
Patented plants will be identified with Patent number. It is clearly forbidden to propagate Patented Plants without authorization.
Plants will be shipped directly from the grower using USPS Priority service and Delivery Confirmation. The Delivery Confirmation number will be shared with the buyer to assist in tracking the plant's arrival.

Coneflowers have become the brightest color in the garden over the past decade due to extensive hybridization that began in the late 1990s. Today more than 80 vibrantly colored and uniquely shaped coneflowers are under patent or have patents pending. The colors have been expanded across each span of the rainbow, including green...The dilemma for the home gardener is that we want them all!
All of the selected species are fragrant additions to the outside garden and most are excellent additions to the indoor bouquet. Most average 18 to 24" at mature height with Ruby Giant being the tallest at 48" and Kim's Knee High the shortest at 12". All of the specimens are hardy and have been field-tested in the new USDA zones 4a through 9b. All excel in full sun but can also bloom in partial shade. All coneflowers are drought tolerant once established and many are evergreen in the southern zones.
Fragrant...Beautiful...Hardy...What More?! These plants are all long-blooming, sun lovers and high in nectar....making them HUGE bee and butterfly magnets in the garden. Coneflowers are listed as the #1 Butterfly Plant by more than 20 national gardening groups including The North American Butterfly Association.
