I was answering someone in Lilies and thought this might be interesting to many gardeners. Some of you may have already figured this out
My memory is bad and I need to have some controle over the garden so,
Its my method for finding places to plant fall bulbs now while Spring bulbs are blooming.

FALL BULB PLANS NOW

This is the time of year when I make Fall Bulb planting plans.
The ground is bare of large perennials and last years bulbs are up.

I mark areas where I want new fall bulbs , either to enlarge a tulip area or add mini daffs to surround the lilies to ward off voles.
Last fall I planted 200 mini daffodils around lilies to protect them from voles.
I devised this method so I can see where to plant this falls bulbs and not plant on top of old bulbs because spring bulbs disappear in the summer.
I use red knives for Daffs and red spoons for tulips.
I keep notes so I can go to the appropriate area where I placed red markers and see red under perennials, dig and plant.

I ran out of red so I used white forks.
