Trish says this: "While the POOpeas is certainly adding minerals to my soil, I would hesitate to say that I am adding any measurable amount of actual organic matter- there just isn't enough physical matter which will be breaking down."

I'm wondering about this too because I always thought manure did the most good by creating activity within the soil. It does add minerals, salts, things like that; lowers the PH, but my thoughts are that it's the carbon producing activity that is actually equally (if not more) beneficial. In order to create that activity, there must be solid organic matter.

Keep us posted, Trish, on the progress of the plants you used it in. Also keep us posted on the changes in the soil, if any.
