I have this Penstemon from seeds that puts up stalks like this from time to time. I know it's not possible to make the entire plant have the half purple and half gold look on all the stems, but I believe it might be possible to make a Penstemon like this with gold leaves. The stalk of this section is striped. One side is purple and one side is gold. What do you think? Should I root a cutting? I just want one with gold leaves to plant beside my purple ones. LOL! However, wouldn't a plant with leaves like this all over be awesome!
