Growing in north central Fl. zone 8. Grows in full sun to pretty good shade. The more sun, the redder the bloom; the shade growing ones have almost white bloom. These blooms are so very tiny individually that it's hard even for me to see them with the naked eye. I'm not sure we can really even see the bloom itself. I suspect what we see are actually bracts of a type. They are shaped mol like a star shape & may hide the actual bloom inside the "star balloon".
