Mike your photos are so interesting - and far better than mine. My camera is pretty new and I need to practice (and probably read the manual). I can see where my camera focused on something in the background rather than on the subject.
I'm with you regarding your sister's discards. I would have jumped into the trash bin after them, too! I have a hard time throwing anything away (even plants I don't like).
