Hetty, I sprinkle mine with baking soda when they are damp and dirty, then pop them in the washer. Works like a charm, I think, or maybe by now I'm immune to the smell.

I agree with Dave and Trish, these are THE best gloves ever. Mine were a gift two Christmases ago and they've seen a lot of wear and tear since then. Right now they are waiting to be replaced by a new pair of pink ones, but not yet, they still have some mileage left. Plus I really hate to get the pink ones dirty. Smiling
