I've heard of many variants on the fire in the hole theme. I've heard of people who had to go to the emergency room after pouring a few gallons of gasoline down a groundhog hole and lighting it.
I guess if the onslaught of rodents were to continue for long enough, I might have to get a long-tailed
weasel which feasts on rodents. If I could find a good specimen.
