I know Schreiner's sells iris ... did not know they had daylilies? Shrug!

I like to recommend Marietta Gardens to new dayliy folks. John Shooter send very nice plants, and carries a lot of older ones which would be reasonably priced. Another good place is Quarles Daylilies.

You might pick an amount...say $50 or $75 and contact John and tell them you are new and want a variety for your area. I have done that before. One time (I was not a newbie) I wrote Steve Moldovan (sadly, Steve has passed away) and sent a check for $200. I told him I did not grow many of his plants, so send me some that he thought would do well for me. His choice. To send one $200 intro or twenty $10 intros. I got a huge box from him. Must have been $600 worth. I still grow most of them! I did know him, so he probably sent more because of that, but still, I think it is a good way to go!
