Paul, our baking heat here really affects the colors of my irises, especially later in the season. It was up to around 100 at least twice during this year's season, and I'm just thankful that the flowers I had looked as good as they did. My DODGER BLUE and MERCHANT MARINE were more on the pale blue side, but I'll take it!

Now HOLLYWOOD STAR I like better. It didn't bloom this year and I almost decided to give it away, but I think I'll move it to my front yard instead, and maybe it will like it better. It had better color for me, and also a little more ruffling.
