I felt sorry for them. They were cut down several times each summer. I would drive by and notice their bright blooms starting to open and then they would harvest the hay and cut them down. My dad helped me dig up several big bunches. They sulked for one year and now they are really growing like crazy!

That first one is very unusual to me. It's the only one I've ever grown that has that many blooms up and down the stalks like that. I have had it for 3 years and not one seed pod has been on that one. It's strange to me that it won't make seeds.
