Looking at that first picture always makes me grimace and shudder! I do kind of like the bigger thorns better, though; at least they don't (as easily) get in under the skin and break off, leaving a festering wound behind. Those prickers, I guess they're called (???)(long and very thin, but penetrating) give me fits! They're hard to get hold of when you're digging them out of yourself.
...in time I will, I suppose.
