My three new sticks arrived today fro Jim Little farms in Hawaii...
Don Ho This NEW flower is named for the legendary singer who entertained the world
with his unselfish gift of Aloha. He is remembered for bringing people together in his shows
at Waikiki and his years of singing “Tiny Bubbles” along with other unforgettable tunes
“I’ll remember you”. Some of you probably have pictures of Don draped in Plumeria leis.
The large 3-4” flower was developed at JL Farms and Nursery and is a first time release.
This extraordinary orange-gold flower can be seen on a full page spread on page 82 in the
plumeria book, Growing plumeria
Hula Girl
HALEAKALA is a prize flower that was developed at the JLFarms seven years ago.
It is introduced in the book just released by Jim Little, Growing Plumerias in Hawaii and
pictured on page 84. The flower was named for the famed Haleakala National Park on
Maui, Hawaii. This is one of most beautiful parks in Hawaii and is represented by the
breathtaking pastel rainbow flower featured as a first time release. The flower averages
four inches in size, has thick petals and is long lasting. The large inflorescence is as big
and colorful as the sunsets at Haleakala. The back side of the flower is equally as beautiful
as the face with its fading red band to white color. This will be a collector’s choice for years
to come. This is only the third time this cutting has ever been released.
Excited about these... hope to pot them in another week.... they came in good shape
but you never know if they cooked somewhere in a truck during shipping..
