Susan, My son overwintered his in his basement last year. It finally got too big for him to keep in the house for the winter. We tried pulling it out of the pot and wrapping it in burlap. It didn't look too bad when we pulled it out but it was a bit soft around the base near the root ball. While moving it out it cracked at that point so we pulled the top off and he planted the bottom. I am not sure how big it will grow this summer but it is growing. I had heard somewhere that you can dig them up in the fall and cut them off right about where his cracked and store just the root ball for the winter much like I do my Alocasia.
Life is Great! Holly
