It has been dry around here this spring. Really dry. So I was watering my garden the same as I would during the latter parts of summer. Of course, I watered on Friday to give everything a good drink because there were only slight chances for rain in the forecast. Well...that 20% chance of showers turned into a thunderstorm that dumped a good bit on me Saturday evening. This afternoon I noticed some scape blasts including one that completely snapped off the bud on Abilene Lillian. I so desperately wanted her to bloom this year. I am crushed and hoping for the other fan to throw up a scape.
