jim yes it is becoming a widely common practice to remove all the branches (leave stubs to graft to) and graft different colors on one plant It is my passion as soon as i can get a good grafting process down I have picked out a caudex off a pure white one i will leave one branch on it and then i want to do a nice red color pink color and some thing with yellow like vanilla ice i just got.

the next one i like to do is pure white, siam violet (purple edge,) purple rose and i have seeds for a double lavender think maybe a striking double pink also.....but maybe next year i need to graft a few more times. 90% of the videos i have seen people do this they use flat graft here is a pick of one i loveThumb of 2012-06-19/chefmike92/477fe7

as for leaves on graft if you use a stem with lot of leaves I would snip most all yes to save energy if it is a tip you are grafting i would leave 2-3 small ones on top just my option

i should have 3 boxes with plumeria on my door today or tomorrow got to get some pots ready see ya all in a few
