Of the lilies I have experienced so far, these are my favorites for both strength and quality of scent:

Alchemy (OT)
Quintessence (OT)
El Condor (LO)
Triumphator (LO)
Lilium regale
Silk Road (OT)

All these should be quite tall once established. Of those mentioned in other posts above, I still have 'Caravan', 'Anastasia' and 'Miss Libby' that are yet to bloom.

I have 'Invasion' planted in my garden. It is a lovely, eye-catching lily and has a very, very strong scent which is pleasant when carried on a breeze. However, when cut and taken indoors, it is unpleasantly strong and to my nose smells exactly like formaldehyde.

I am disappointed with the scent of the trumpet lilies 'Golden Splendor', 'Pink Perfection' and 'African Queen'. It is very, very faint compared to the glorious scent of Lilium regale, at least to my nose.
