ok, then it's definitely NOT something I've done as I am usually pretty careful not to let the fertilizer be actually on the plant, but on the mulch underneath. Makes for a shit-load of cuts all over my hands/arms, but it's well worth it then. I'm gonna say that over 90% of the roses I saw at HD were all suffering from that. That's one of the main reasons why I didn't buy hardly anything this year.
