Well I am home, and had a great time, as for my excitment I won't mind if I never have this kind again we were in the garden having a drink when the dog started barking, we turned around and this was less that 6' away from us, we got the dog in the house, and after a few minutes the Bear walked down the rest of the garden and we called the police, this was in the paper the next day. ( We were in Farmington )
Last year it was mountain lions, this year it's bears.
It seems like each week there is another new report of a bear sighting in central Connecticut. A bear was struck and killed in Windsor on Interstate 91 last week. A young bear hunkered down for a green snack in a backyard in Meriden recently and another one lounged in a backyard in Southington before scooting off into the woods. Even more bear sightings have been reported in the region around Cheshire.
There have even been confirmed and unconfirmed sightings of bears in Tolland.
