This is turning out to be a really interesting thread. I think this happens more than we notice in nature (unless it's a big Pink Perfection) and most mutations end up being aborted naturally anyway. I really never look for them--it's amazing how some even catch our eye--especially in a group of 75 to 100 flowers (like my Royal Sunset). Like finding a four leaf clover, I never really look for them, but when I glance down and--there one is, I'm intrigued.
