I would say mine is about 18 inches tall including that stalk, but this is its first year. They put up offsets which you can break off and root to make more or let it become fuller. It's smaller than the other Hesperaloe plants. I am putting mine with some yellow Coreopsis and Helenium. Note: Monrovia says it only gets 2 feet tall and wide. I think that is the correct size. I don't think it will ever get 36 inches. It's a smaller version with redder blooms. It's a hummingbird magnet too!
