I think you could always put in some heat cables or even a small wattage light bulb if needed this winter to add extra protection to the orchids, if needed, just in case there is a super-duper winter lows for a few nights.
All in all it looks like ya'll are having fun gardening. That's one of the major reasons for what it's all about, eh?
